Show TO DEMONSTRATE IN HOSPITAL DIETETICS Practical demonstrations of the proper prop-er methods of preparing food for hospital hos-pital patients will feature the formal opening of the new dietetical laboratory labora-tory at the Holy Cross hospital to be held Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Wednesday the domestic science teachers of the city schools, the University Uni-versity of Utah. Westminster college and the L. D. U. will attend the demonstration. dem-onstration. Thursday the graduate nurses of the city and physicians and surgeons, and Friday the club women of the city and Saturday the Catholic Women's league will attend.-- attend.-- Refreshments are to be served between be-tween the hours of 4 and 5:30 o'clock. Tho new laboratory, which is pat-" terned after that of the Johns-Hopkins hospital in Philadelphia, was installed under the direction of Mrs. Louise Palmer Weber. It consists of a series of gas stoves, oven and other appliances appli-ances ordinarily used in the preparation of food for sick persons. Mrs: Weber is a dietetics specialist and is conducting conduct-ing classes on tho subject at the coun-I coun-I ty hospital. |
