Show WILL HOLD DEBATE 1 PUBLIC QUESTION Democrat and Socialist to Meet in Discussion at Unity Hall. A public ilcbate between Culbcrt L. Obon, Democratic attorney, recently elected to tbo state senate, and Murray y.. King, prominent in Socialist circles, will bo held at Unity hall, 138 South Second Kaat street, next Tuesday, beginning be-ginning at 8 o'clock p. m. The Bubjcct, "Unsolved, that tile Democratic party is the most effective political party to Bccure the public control of industry and the Hmuiicipation of labor, ".is the outgrowth, of a jjcueral controversy that has arisen between Socialists and Democrats Demo-crats over tlici partially successful bid for Socialist votes niaJe by the Douio-cratia Douio-cratia party in the recent election. Mr. King will attnek Mr. Olson's defense de-fense of the Democratic, party on the ground that the logical party to meet the situation is the Socialist party. Mr. Olson will hold that of itself the Democratic Demo-cratic party is becoming sufficiently socialized to correctly solve the great questions of the day. J. E. Murdoek, an attorney recently from Illinois, will preside at the meeting- . . The debate is the second in a series to be given at, Unity hall, designed to thresh out various social and economic questions from the radical aud conservative conserva-tive standpoints.
