Show WHERE THE CREDIT FOR SUCCESS BELOHGS Dividing Lino Between Eastern and Western Ends of the Boston Con. A prominent stockholder in the Boston Bos-ton Consolidated Copper company in discussing dis-cussing the extremely gratif3'ing results j being achieved by tlio management, on Saturday expressed the opinion that; the J Kast has overlooked the fact that the western end of the management deserves de-serves more credit for this condition I than it. is securing. lie recognizes the fact that tho West has merely done l its duty, much belter than the eastern end in many ways, but ho positively frowns down on the effort to place the credit for present mine conditions where it doos not altogether belong. He says: "Tho East apparently believes that to Consulting ISnginoer .leanings belongs all tho credit lor the success of the Boston company, that he led the or gani.ation out of the wilderness. For instance, eastern circles have intimated that since !Mr. .leanings took hold of the company the mine has been able to produce pro-duce sufficient ore to supply the mill, while the mill itself is doing good work. "I believe Mr. Jennings will himself say that the western management at the mine nnd mill has worked out its own salvation, it has followed the lines, laid down before Mr. Jennings became officially of-ficially identified with the company, and that he has had very little to suggest sug-gest for. the western end, but a good deal to suggest to the eastern end. During Dur-ing the past two years the Koston company com-pany has experienced a severe baptism of fire. But the difficulties of Ihc company com-pany have been 90 per cent financial and 10 per cent mine nnd mill. And this 10 per cent mine aud mill trouble would have decreased much sooner had the eastern end handled the financial niafters as it should have done. "T do not mean to snj- that Mr. Jennings Jen-nings has done nothing in the behalf of this company. In the East he has accomplished splendid results, and to him is due full credit for the financial sunshine which has broken through the clouds. But what desire (o emphasize is simply this, the western mine and mill management has brought the mine and mill to their present splendid condition, con-dition, and credit for this should bo given the western officials." |
