Show HIGH WATER AGAIN THREATENS BAIiABE Street Supervisor Raleigh and a Force of Men Are Kept Busy. With the precipitation of Friday night .City Creek, Parley's and Iho Jordan Jor-dan rivor approached iho danger point Saturday and City Creek overflowed its banks in tho western part of tho city. Slrect Supervisor Jako Raleigh immediately imme-diately put a force of men at work reinforcing re-inforcing and building up tho banks, and only slight damage is anticipated. Parley's creek also is considerably higher on account of tho rains of Friday, Fri-day, but no damngo is reported along the stream. The Jordan river is said to bo as high if not higher than it has been this year. Trafiic is impeded over tho Ninth North street Jordan river bridgoon account of the overflow water running around both ends of tho bridge. Tho car Hue lo the fair grounds is partly under water. |
