0P0H0NG0 PRODUCTION TO BE INCREASED In running tho drift from the third level in the Black Jack properly, a depth of 700 feel has been attained on the Assure in the adjoining properly proper-ly of tho Opohongo company, aud to date the ore has been followed for a distance of forty feel. It has now been decided by tho management of the Opohongo, as the ore is plainly making for greater depth, lo drive a tunnel in their ground to cut the mineral-bearing zone as it goes down, aijd ; when this work has been completed, a hoisting plant will be installed 'and the properly otherwise equipped for increased in-creased production. Though the Opohongo is still a youugstor, it is a mighty bealthj one, shipments of two cars per week being recorded, and the management is satisfied sat-isfied that with some further development, develop-ment, work it will bo an easy matter to increaso and maiutain the output Beginning with next week f lie property prop-erty will ship three cars of ore instead of two, and further additions will be made soon.
