The directors of (he Federal Mining and .Smelting company will meet next Monday to consider dividend actions. It is believed be-lieved unlikely that a distribution will be made on the common stock. It is said that the company can easily earn its preferred dividend requirements and set aside tho proper amount for depreciation, but in order conservatively conservative-ly lo pay common dividends tho metal markets must improve.
