Show SANDY NOTES 1 Special to The Tribune SANDY, Nov. 13. Sandy has a new mayor in the person of W. D. Kuhre, appointed at. the last meeting of the city council to fill tho unexpired term of W. jw. Wilson, tho postmaster here, who had to resign 10 compiy with a rule made by tho doynvtmun at Washington lo Iho effect that no postmaster of a third class citv or town shall hold a municipal office. Bishop Kuhre. is looked upon as a very capable man for mayor. The city has purchased the controlling interest in Uio plant of tin; Sab. Lake 'ountv water company, which supplies thn towns of Sandy and MiJvale wilh water for culinary purposes. The city having issued bonds to llm amount of $11,231), at: 5 per cent interest per an uuin, careful mnnpgenient of the water system will have to be exercised iu oilier oi-lier to pay the iiit-r:-t and runipiig expenses, ex-penses, and create a kinking fund to pay off Ihe bonds when they i.ill duo. |
