Show UNMASKED HIGHWAYMEN HOLD UP MAIL WAGON BUTTE, ATont., Nov. i3.Two high-men, high-men, unmasked, and giving every evidence evi-dence of having carefully planned tho deed, held up the United Elates mail wagon as it was proceeding from tho Northern Pacific station (o the post-office post-office al 7:20 o'clock last evening. The robbery occurred at a point between Aluminum and Platinum streets, on Utah avenue. Olo (Jabrielsou. driver ol the wagon, lirst having been made to drive hit o a dark alley. V, .1. Forster, a well-known member of llv railway mail service, employed on (he run between be-tween Miles City and Butte, was riding rid-ing with the driver at the time. The only booty secured by the robbers was an Anaconda mail pouch, containing no registered mail. $1 or $5 of Mr. Forster ' money, and his diamond locket, and about. $S form Mr. Gabriclson and his gold watch. No arrests have been made. |
