TODAY Speeches to Be Juferspersed With Several Musical Selections. jMany young men of Salt Lako believe that the' can be consistent followers of Christ without affiliating with any church, others do not, it is contended. The young men of Salt Lake need training train-ing in the art. of thinking on their foot in debates and ot.hcr onus of public speaking, and Prof. Fred AL. Keynolds, of the University of Utah, und .Frank Rullington, a young member of tho Y. M. C. A., will meet A. D. McGuiro. president pres-ident of the Ad club, and John Kvans, another young member of the Y. M. G. A,, in a dobato that embodies this question. The debate will tako place in the library of tho Y. M. C. A. ut 1:30 o'clock this Sunday afternoon. Before tho debate there will bo a short song service, Botwoon the speeches speech-es the following musical programnio will bo ronderod: Pearl Allcnbaugh, contralto solo; Mrs. W. S. Loomis, piano solo; Oge .lorgenscn, cello solo; Claud J. Ncttleton, violin solo. Tho debato for next Sunday afternoon will be: "Resolved: That no man should marry before he is Iwcnty-fivc yours old." Tho subjects for tho December debates will bo selected from the vital points of intorest in tho institutions of gambling, citizenship, theater-going, drinking, divorce, Sabbath observance and the like. |
