Show STRIKE REPORTED FROM BISCUIT Ml Superintendent Says Ore Has Been Found Beneath Quartz Formation. J. C. Williams of The Biscuit Mining Min-ing company has written to the local officials of I be corporation to Hie el feet that ore hns been eucountored in the bottom of the south winze, about eighty feet below tho 000-foot level. Mr. Williams slates that the very hard quartz formation which has been worked for some time past, and which has made progress somewhat slow, hnsj boeu broken through and tho ore was found directly beneath it. At. the time the information was sent out, the ore was oigbteen inches wide, with indications indi-cations of its growing larger as work progresses. The management feels con fideut that the goal of recent operations opera-tions has been finally reached, and further news of an ou'eouraging nature is expected in the near future. While the assays of the new find have not been roceived as yet, it is stated that tho ore is similar in appearauce to the high-grade silver-lead product which made money for the stockholders in the early days of the mine. The Biscuit company, owniug four-toon four-toon claims in the Cherry Creek, Nov., district, has recently boon reincorporated reincorpor-ated in order that tho stock of I ho company might, be made assessable, and tho first assessment of 1 per cent per share, or $10,000, was levied Friday.
