I Among t.ho Beaver county mining I properties which arc attracting consid-j erablc attention at present time, that of the Revenue company is ouo of the foremost. .Recent developments thore have boon of a most encouraging nature, na-ture, 11 strike of rich silver-load ore having been made iu the Clifl.' tunnel of the company workings, and according accord-ing to Into reports from those interested inter-ested the body had been devolopcd to a width of three feet. Sacking of the ore. is now under way, and ero long tho initial consignment, of tbo product will bo on tho market. Samples of tho new oro brought lo this city by L. G. Burton, who has re-cenlly re-cenlly visited tbo mine, show au aver-ago aver-ago value upon assay of 100 ouuees in silver aud 75 per cent lead, while picked specimens from the deposit run much higher. The strike was made by Manager A. J. Walters iu the west, dritt from tho cross-cut tunnel, aud besides this discovery excellent indications of an approaching oro .body in the cast drift trom the same tunnel, have beeu encountered. It is thought that both of these drifts aro on the Cliff vein, but whether this is actually tho case or not has not been determined in tho progress of the work so far. The Revenue property is locatod about eighteen miles southwest of Newhouse, iu the. Wah Wah range of mountains, and the company controls about 1(300 acres of mining ground. Work has been prosecuted by tbo operating company com-pany in the lace of numerous obstacles for a long limy past, and from present indications tbo property bids fair to develop into a producing mine, whie.b will amply lepay the company's stockholders stock-holders for their persevering confidence. |
