Schulder returned re-turned yesterday afternoon from their wedding trip, which extended over a period of five months, and was enjoyed in England and France. They aro at home at the Knutsford. The teachers and a number of the students of the'domestic science department depart-ment of the University were guests of Mrs. Edwin F. Holmes yesterday morning at Amelia Palace, and enjoyed examining the exquisite display of rare laces and embroideries which Mrs. Holmes collected on her recent tour of tho world. Mrs. McVlckers and Mrs. Little, regents of the University, accompanied ac-companied the party. o 9 4 Thomas E. Miss Nellie Howorth entertained the members of the Independent Girl Sewing Sew-ing club Thursday. Tho evening was pleasantly spent with muslo and sewing. sew-ing. Tho Bachelor Maidens of the B. M. club met at the homo of Miss Lillian James Friday evening nnd spent a pleasant tlmo playing "flinch." The first prize was won by Miss Eva Richardson Rich-ardson nnd Miss Maude Hampton captured cap-tured tho consolation offering. The club is a now social organization composed of the following-named young ladles: Misses Mamie Calllstcr, Eva Richardson, Richard-son, Ollvo Burt, Maude Hampton, Ethel McEwan, Lillian James and Mildred Mil-dred Hanson. They are all young ladles la-dles of modest years and have styled their association the B. M. club. To avoid the possibility of one of their number being taken from them during leap year a resolution has been adopted providing that they remain single for a period of llvo years and that during that time they receive no attentions from eligible young men. Since the beginning of the school year Madam Helen Root has. had charge of the sowing classes of the domestic scl-enco scl-enco department of the University. On Friday and Saturday thero was a display dis-play of muslin undergarments made by tha idrla in, tha second yej-c nnrrri ( course, and n most creditable showing It was. Thero were In all 150 pieces, three pieces made by each of the fifty girls In the class. There were flounces and tucks, laces and embroidery, all of tho work beautifully done, a credit alike to the Instructor and the pupils. o On Friday evening the young people of tho Rebekah lodge gave a most enjoyable en-joyable dancing party at Christensen's hall. Some 200 guests were present, and the event was successful In every way. The chaperons wero the Mesdames Elliott, El-liott, Brant, Moore. Gilson, Geary. Pendleton, Pen-dleton, Fox and Canning. W. Frank James and Earnest Snow gave a box party Wednesday evening In honor of Murphy Savllle and H. Karet Whitney, after which the party enjoyed an Irish supper. 9 Mrs. Harry Anderson entertained the G. I. A. at her home, 9CL West Second South street, Thursday afternoon, assisted as-sisted by Mrs. Hatch.
