Show PILED A PETITION FOR HABEAS CORPUS WRIT James H. Clark, who Is serving a four-year term in tho State penitentiary for grand larceny, filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus In the District court yesterday. Clark, along with his brother and Z. Graham, were tried for robbing a man named Johnson of about $75 In a Commercial street saloon. The petitioner and Graham wore found guilty of grand larceny, whilo Albort Clark was found guilty of receiving stolen property. The petition is based on the ground that the defendant Is belne: unlawfully restrained of his liberty, lib-erty, because his brother was convicted of a lesser crime. It was argued by Attorney At-torney D. H. Truman and taken under advisement by Judge Morse. |
