Snyder In behalf of the California Mining company have been rewarded and Interests that appeared to have been irroclaimably lost a few hours ago are, through his tireless exertlono, at least temporarily restored to the crestfallen shareholders. It was a little lit-tle after four o'clock yesterday afternoon after-noon that means with which to accomplish ac-complish this were devised and, with $12,106, he entered tho ofllces of W. W. lArm-itrong, the latter representing tho syndicate Into whose hands the deed to the estate had twenty-four hours bo-fore bo-fore been placed. As Indulgent as had they been for some tlmo this sum wn3 received by the now owners of tho mines and mill and a contract entered Into In which the company recovers possession of its former holdings, a reconveyance re-conveyance to follow on the payment of $13,000 six months hence. Not only had Judge Snyder recovered possession of the mines nnd mill, but more. He had succeeded In trimming down the ?15,000 Judgment rendered against tho company last year for personal Injuries Inju-ries sustained by a former employee to ?10S6, and saved the company a sum equivalent, almost, to tho balance required re-quired to recover title to Its holdings. With all this accomplished the management manage-ment announced that thoso who had defaulted In the payment of tho recent assessment will be allowed thirty days additional time in which to recover their holdings. Among tho shareholders there was much glee, whllo for Judge Snydor there were the most liberal expressions of gratitude. With the property and plant back in their custody tho directors of the company, said Judge Snyder last night, will be convened at once and Its future fu-ture decided on. |
