Show SUIT OVER OWNERSHIP OF A CASH REGISTER The ownership of a cash register Is the matter Involved In a suit filed In the District court yesterday by Fred C. and Marie A. Lyndburg against Ed Bo-Iander. Bo-Iander. The complaint alleges that on July 31, 1903, the plaintiffs gave the possession pos-session of the cash register to the defendant de-fendant as security for a debt of J6o. The bill of sale executed by the plaintiffs plain-tiffs provided that tho register could bo redeemed upon payment of $65 on or before September 1, 1903. It Is alleged that a verbal agreement was entered Into on September 1st extending ex-tending tho time of redemption until December De-cember 30th; that after the first date the plaintiffs paid $2C to the defendant, and that on December 21st tendered the balance due of $39, but that the defendant defend-ant refused to receive the money or to deliver the possession of the register. The plaintiffs ask Judgment for the recovery of the register or for $150, the value thereof In cose delivery cannot be had. |
