Thursday. Thurs-day. Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Davis High School, Kaysville, announced A. Leslie Derbyshire, Davis County Chairman, today. JACK CARLSON, Sherman Lloyd, Desmond Barker, Stanley M. Smoot, Vernon Romney, who are being mentioned men-tioned as candidates for senator or governor of Utah and other candidates for state and county offices are expected ex-pected to be in attendance and will be introduced to about 400 voting district chairmen, vice chairmen, delegates and other party leaders. Plans will be announced for county Republican activities for the coming months leading lead-ing to the November election. Dinner will be served in the newly completed high school cafeteria under the direction of a committee of Republican women party officers, including includ-ing Mrs. Robert L. (Vernetta) Alford, President of Center-ville Center-ville Women's Republican Club. Mrs. Jack W. (Lois) Picket, Bountiful, member of Utah State Central Republican Committee, Mrs. Wallace (Flame) Rampton. Syracuse. Davis County Republican Vice Chairman and Mrs. Matt (Hazel) Gait, Bountiful. Davis County Secretary. Music will be furnished by the Davis High School Band, directed bv Cregg 1 Hanson, of Fruit Heights The band will share in the proceeds of the event to enable them to represent the State of Utah in the Cherrv Blossom Festival Parade at" Washington. D. C. in April. DISTRIBUTION of tickets is in toe hands of voting district dis-trict chairman and party officers of-ficers It is expected that all 1 M voting districts in the county will be represented to receive information pertaining pertain-ing to their personal participation par-ticipation in the coming election elec-tion campaign. Voting district chairmen who are unable to attend should make sure their districts dis-tricts are adequately represented. Derbyshire said All active Republicans are invited and should contact their voting district or county officers if they have not received formal invitations. |
