Show Bountiful Mires Engineer For Creeks Cleanup By DAVE WIGHAM In connection with the money they receiveM from the Title 10 grant, Bountiful City has hired Dave Wilding as project engineer for the city. THE CITY received $150,000, which is half of the grant, to clean up the creeks and waterways of the city. Flood control also comes under this grant. Mr. Wilding holds both a bachelors and a masters degree in engineering. He will be in charge of the project involving Mill, Stone and Barton creeks. THE BRIGHAM Young University graduate will be paid $15,500 according to Jack Mcintosh, assistant city manager and personnel director. The city is also at this time accepting applications for two superintendent positions for the project. Prior experience in supervising and in flood control is needed. ALSO IN connection with the project openings there exists openings for two heavy equipment operators, two light equipment operators and 26 laborers. Eventually four full time crews will be involved in the project for an estimated 12 to 15 months. The project is scheduled to start around March 1. The project will begin with only one crew with the others added when needed and available. THE PROJECT will also involve West Bountiful since it is a dual city undertaking and project. Other openings in the city include an electronics journeyman. jour-neyman. The person sought for this position must be someone who has had' experience with a private or public electricity utility and have a good understanding of its principles. Resignation of an employe will result in the promotion of a city employe to assistant cashier, a job would then exist for the vacated job. |
