Show Gonspipac! Fop Tyranny - Ml j i- """ - . - . ' WILLIAM MC ILHANY "Everywhere, people are becoming aware that the trend toward total government govern-ment is no accident," says Ralph Freeman, chairman of the speakers' program for local chapters of The John Birch Society. Today he announced, an-nounced, "Because many people believe there is a conspiracy to impose a world-wide dictatorship, we are bringing Mr. William Mcllhany to the South Davis . area to speak on "The Great Conspiracy." WRITER AND historian Mcllhany says, "For years, we Americans have been paralyzed by a series of crises that follow a pattern: We have seen officials endanger us by setting more and more criminals free, and these same officials then try to further endanger us with gun controls. We have seen shortages shor-tages caused by government regulations. And now we have been watergated into having an unelected President and Vice President." After dissecting these and other domestic issues, Mcllhany moves to the international inter-national arena, pointing out that, "Our tax dollars have been given to support revolutionaries revolu-tionaries on every continent, while they attack America. As a result, we have seen dictatorship dicta-torship spread across the globe while our diplomats cave in and make agreements to disarm us to the Communist- controlled United Nations." ALL OF this, plus much more, moves Mcllhanv to contend that, "The evidence of a conspiracy to impose brutal Communist tyranny over the whole world has become more and more obvious." ob-vious." Mcllhany has done more digging into the intriguing archives of many of history's major events than most historical his-torical scholars twice his age. He obtained his bachelor's degree in history from Virginia's Vir-ginia's Washington and Lee University. He has done research in the British Museum, Le Bibliotheque Nationale of France and the Library of Congress. His first book, Klandestine, documents the conspiracy's use of the Ku Klux Klan and he has two others in the process of being published - The A.C.L.U. On Trial and another on the Civil War and Lincoln's assassination. assassina-tion. McILH ANY will be speaking at a public appearance on Thursday, Feb, 19th, at 8:00 p.m. in the J.A.
