Show Pedersen Rites rv OLIVER C. PEDERSEN Oliver Cowdery Pedersen, ' age 85, of 1000 North 4O0 East died February 7, 1976 in a Salt Lake hospital of causes incident in-cident to age. MR. PEDERSEN was born April 28, 1890 at Alborg, Denmark. Den-mark. He was the son of Neils and Mette Kathnne Pedersen Pedersen. He married Phoebe Gold Gedge Sept. 15, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Dec. 29, 1948. Mr. Pedersen was a member of the LDS Church, a former bishop of the Redwood Ward and served as a member of the North Jordan Stake High Council. HE WAS a genealogical researcher. He worked as a counselor in the stake high priest quorum, taught Sunday School for 25 years and has been a home teacher for 49 years. He served a mission to Denmark from 1924-26. Survivors include his sons and daughters; Herbert N., Richland, Wash.; Herschel N.. American Fork; Keith A., South Jordan; Kent A., San Jose, Calif.; Gailen. Bountiful; Boun-tiful; Gilbert. Salt Lake City; EIRay L.. Layton; Mrs. Conrad (Remore) Gerber, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Keith (Karen) Braithwaite. Salt Lake City; Mrs. Richard (Phoebe Jean) Eason of Chicago. 111. and 45 grandchildren. ALSO SURVIVING are brothers and a sister; Enoch Pedersen. Apple Valley. Calif.; Ben Jamen Pedersen. Salt Lake City and Mrs. W illiam (Martha) Castro of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were held Tuesday February 10 in the Bountiful 37th Ward Chapel. INTERMENT was in the Elvsian Burial Gardens in Salt Lake City. Funeral director, Russon Brothers Bountiful Union Mortuary. Services were conducted by Bishop David Brockbank of the Bountiful 37th Ward conducting. con-ducting. Services were as follows: FAMILY prayer. Herbert Pedersen; prelude and postlude music. Margene Knowlton; musical trio "O My Father." and "1 Need Thee Every Hour" by Shirley Elder, I la Reed arid Joyce Goodrich accompanied by Grace Parnsh. Invocation, Robert McM.isler; bishop's remarks. David Brorkbank. a duet by Marge Knowllon and Joyce Brown, "Hie bird's Prayer"; spe-ikers were bishop Gerald 0. Rifcin-Jin. Pres Henry E. Peterson and Herschel Pedersen. A musical number by Mary Ann Pedersen accompanied ac-companied by Margene Knowlton, "In The Garden." ILA Reed presented a violin solo, "Meditation," accompanied accom-panied by Grace Parrish. Benediction was by Keith Braithwaite. Dedication of the grave was by Keith Pedersen. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Randy Gerber, Kenneth Gerber, Chris Pedersen, Dan Pedersen, Gordon Pedersen and Mark Pedersen. HONORARY Pallbearers were High Priests of the Bountiful 37th Ward. The Relief Society of the Bountiful 37th Ward was in charge of the flowers. |
