Show Woods Cross By RUTH S. PAYNE 295-4287 My sincere apology for two errors in last week's column. K. C. Erickson's are parents of a son, not .a daughter, born at South Davis on Saturday. And Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Haacke were honored at an open house following their marriage at Woods Cross Stake Center, on Friday of the past week. Last week's news stated the name as Kent Haacke. Thursday was not only Lincoln Lin-coln Haacke's birthday but the day chosen to honor our nation, as the South Bountiful Elementary School presented another outstanding patriotic program, held at the Bountiful-Woods Cross Regional Center. Under the direction of Principal Noel J. Williams, and assisted by teachers at the school, public invitations were issued to townspeople, to celebrate with the school, as they presented their annual salute to our nation. Music and narration by the students brought appreciation for our many blessings living in the land of the free. At the conclusion of the presentation, the South Bountiful PTA presented the school with a Bicentennial flag. Reports by the nominating committee for up and coming PTA officers were also reviewed. Committee members are Raye Blackburn, Black-burn, LynnTrenbeath, and Beverly Anderson. Mandi Konishi, granddaughter grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ballinger, has been a guest of her grandparents while her mother was at South Davis Hospital. Jimmy Howard, son of Gary and Sue Howard, is at home, and improving nicely, after undergoing bone surgery at South Davis Hospital. Jimmy broke his arm last summer, but due to improper healing, a bone graft was necessary. Guy Memmott, son of Larry and Grace Memmott, was featured fea-tured in concert Thursday evening at the Salt Lake City Library. Many friends and neighbors were on hand for his vocal program. Nancy Cleverly, daughter of Jim and Connie Cleverly, was honored by a group of her friends who enjoyed a slumber party on Friday night in honor of her 10th birthday. South Bountiful First Ward is featuring a Sweetheart Party on Saturday evening. The event is for couples only, 18 years of age and older. The evening will feature a pot luck dinner, followed by broom hockey, volleyball, and table games. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. for a more enjoyable en-joyable evening, bring your own dishes and utinsels. The cultural hall is the place.
