The installation banquet of the Davis County Sheriff's Jeep Patrol was held at the Sportsman's in Clearfield on January 24. THE PATROL was fortunate for-tunate in having Davis County Sheriff "Dub" Lawrence of Centerville perform the ceremonies for the new officers, of-ficers, Commander Paul (Whitey) Tanner, Bountiful; Captain Max Cunningham, Syracuse; Lieutenants Kirt Christensen, Layton; Darwin Finn, Centerville; Scott Hanks, Farmington and William (Bill) Woods, Lay- ton. Outgoing officers are Commander Com-mander Frank Ferguson, Farmington, who served a two year term; Captain Larry Green, Farmington and Lieutenants Lieu-tenants Del Ward, Kaysville; Stan Tebbs, Clearfield; Scot Hanks, Farmington and Jake R. Hunt, Centerville. Remarks made by Sheriff Lawrence were very complimentary to the Patrol and for the support rendered during the past year. New Commander Tanner pledged the continued support sup-port of his Patrol. Outgoing Commander Ker-jnison Ker-jnison gave a month by month resume of the activities and services rendered and thanked Patrol members for their participation in regular activities and expecially for their assistance in the many call-outs for search and rescue res-cue services to the general public. For the past three years Commander Frank Ferguson has presented awards for "Jeep Patrolman of the Year". This year the competition compe-tition was so keen that it was impossible to select only one, and he found it necessary tq award this honor to two outstanding out-standing members for their participation and dedication to patrol functions.
