In all other ways he is very normal. He is very active and his handicap doesn't get in the way. He has learned to walk so that his handicap is hardly noticeable. He does, wear special shoes and a brace for his right leg. When he first got his brace, he showed it to everyone. He felt special that not everyone has one. THE MUSCLES of his right hand and arm were very tight, making it quite difficult to use them. Last summer, Jeremy spent a week at Primary Children's Medical Center, where doctors were able to relieve some of this tightness through an operation opera-tion on his arm. He will have another operation on his arm this summer. Jeremy spends time each day doing physical therapy to help train his arm and hand to be helpers to his other hand and arm. LIKE MOST children, Jeremy has taught himself to ride a tricycle and is looking forward to his birthday when he hopes to get a bicycle. Last winter Jeremy began skiing -lessons and has really enjoyed the sport. Jeremy attends kindergarten kindergar-ten at Fremont Elementary School in Sunset. His teacher, Mrs. Hart, feels he is doing well in his studies and gets along with his classmates. HE ATTENDS the Clinton Third Ward where he is very active in Sunday School and Primary. Jeremy has participated in several events which have been held in connection with the March of Dimes program. At a fashion show held at Mt. Ogden Junior High Jeremy lit the torch for the procession. ON MARCH 27 a Walk-A-Thon will be held with about 5,000 students entering. Jeremy will lead the procession, proces-sion, leaving old Weber High on 11th Street and Washington Blvd. Ogden Mayor Stephen Dirks will be participating, as well as many other officials and March of Dimes workers.
