Show By BERTHA L. MUIR 295-3742 Mrs. Ruby Layton has returned re-turned from San Francisco where she spent two months as a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Cal Coltrin and other relatives. Mr. Coltrin is Ruby's nephew and a son of former Woods Cross residents, the late Zebedee and Mary Ann Muir Coltrin. Dr. and Mrs. J.E. Trowbridge, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ford, Mr. and Mrs. Bill TrowDridge and son Guy and Gary attended a basketball basket-ball game in Morgan last Friday. They went to see Kenneth Trowbridge, son of the Bill Trowbridges, who was a member of the visiting team from Roosevelt. This is what makes a nation great. Its people and its spirit. Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Oar spent the past week with friends at Lake Tahoe, Calif. They enjoyed skiing and other winter activities. Grandmother Grand-mother Norene Hatch took care of the two children while their parents were away. District two of the American Legion will meet at the local post home on Friday, Feb. 13. There will be a social hour at 7 p.m. with refreshments following. Delegates will be present from Ogden, Layton, Far-mington, Far-mington, Morgan, Clearfield, Roy and Kaysville. The American Legion Auxiliary Au-xiliary is sponsoring an old fashioned card party to be held Saturday Feb. 28 in the post home. Luncheon will be served at 1 p.m. followed by all types of card games. A candy booth will be set up where homemade candy will be sold. Make reservations by calling Dorothy Willey, 295-1264; Bertha Muir, 295-3742 or Dora Trowbridge 295-4442. Other committee members are Lois Pickett, Grace Carney, Car-ney, Dora Trowbridge, Judy Oar, Norene Hatch, Margaret Handy, Frankie Olsen, Myra Fisher and Marjorie Tornow. Mrs. Wilda Bluemel celebrated her birthday anniversary an-niversary Feb. 4. Monday Feb. 16 the Lady Lions will meet for a dinner meeting at the ServUs Drug dining room. President Alethia Miservey urges all members to attend. It will be guest night and Janice Hartvigsen will review on "Heroines in History." Janice uses a number of books as she gives this presentation. Mrs. Myron Holbrook has returned from a week's stay the hospital where she received tests and treatment. Hyrum Brough is home after a month spent in the Bountiful Community Hospital. Hospi-tal. He had many complications complica-tions following major Surgery. Sur-gery. Mrs. Vard Dalley of Layton, George Ledingham of Ogden and Mrs. Wallace E. Hess of Salt Lake were Bountiful visitors last weekend. The Golden Years organization or-ganization will meet Thursday, Thurs-day, Feb. 19 at the Viewmont High School at 1:30 for luncheon. Make your reservations reser-vations by Monday Feb. 16.
