Show ( ) ft " " f i ' y 1 I ;.,. i DAVID M. HATCH David M. Hatch dies in SLC David (Fat) Milburn Hatch, 65, of Vernal died in the St. Marks Hospitul in Salt Lake City Jan. 14, 19H2. Son of David Nelson and Margaret Milburn Hatch, he was born Feb. 13, 1916 in Vernal. He married Grace Burke Oct. 8, 1934. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Aug 18, 1954. He was a plumber, backhoe operator and veteran of World War II. He was a High Priest int Naples 2nd Ward, member of the American Legion, former member of the John Birch Society, and he loved to fish and hunt. He is survived by his widow of Vernal; sons and daughters. Junior Hatch, Mrs. Keith (Sondra) Shipton, both of Dutch John; Dale Hatch of Poway, Calif, Ronald Virgil Hatch and Mrs. Neva Nemeth, both of Vernal; 26 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Keith Lloyd Hatch; and sister, Mrs. Thetbert (Lorraine) Keele, both of Vernal. Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 18, in the Naples 2nd Ward Chapel. Bishop Lorin Merrill was in charge. Keith Shipton gave the family prayer and Bishop John Lent gave the invocation in-vocation at the service. Following the remarks by Lorin Merrill, Clarence Palmer spoke. A musical medley was done by Cleone Hatch, and Dayle Baird recited a poem composed by Sherry Hatch. President Nile Bigelow spoke. "Abide With Me" was sung by Philip Manwaring and Mac Holmes and Verdin Goodrich accompanied. The benediction was by Melvin Gardiner. Prelude and postlude music was by Ruth Walker. Also before the invocation in-vocation Don Walker and Lois Erickson sang accompanied by Ruth Walker. Wesley Bowden dedicated the grave. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ron Hatch, Junior Hatch, Dale Hatch, sons; Keith Ship-ton, Ship-ton, son-in-law; Lance Hatch, grandson and Keith Hatch, a brother. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons T. M. Keele, Mike Crug, Robert Hatch, Jeff Hatch, Scott Hatch, and Russell Shipton. The Naples 2nd Ward Relief Society was in charge of the flowers. |
