Show MARRIED APRIL 1, 1914 Family Gathering Honors Mr. and Mrs.' David Evans on 50th Wedding Anniversary iJ MR. AND MRS. DAVID WILLIAM EVANS - Mr. and Mrs. David William Evans, were honored guests Easter Sunday In Cedar City when members of their immediate immedi-ate family met to honor them on their Golden Wedding anniversary. anniver-sary. , Mr. and Mrs. Evans celebrated celebrat-ed privately Wednesday, April 1, their 50th wedding anniversary. anniver-sary. Nearly life long residents of Panguitch, Mr. and Mrs. Evans have since his retirement in 1953, made their home in Silt Lake City, St. George and are currently cur-rently In Cedar City. They were married In the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 1, 1914, shortly after Mr. Evans returned re-turned from an Australian mission mis-sion for the LDS Church. Mrs. Evans, the former Phyllis May Galloway, is a native of Melbourne, Mel-bourne, Australia. She was a convert con-vert to the LDS religion. Following their marriage the couple made their home in Panguitch Pan-guitch where Mr. Evans was engaged en-gaged in farming and in the meat marketing industry. He retired re-tired In 1953. All but one of the Evans children chil-dren and their families were in attendance at the gathering on Easter Sunday. Not present was Grant Evans who resides in Managua, Ma-nagua, Nicaragua. The other five children in attendance at-tendance were: Jack G., Provo; Mrs. Stanley (Myrtle) Davis, Cedar Ce-dar City; Mrs. Jack (Melba) Davis, Da-vis, Panguitch; Mrs. Carroll (Dorothy) (Dor-othy) Adair, Kearns, and Delorcs Evans of Las Vegas, Nev. |
