Show Couple wed March 26 The marriage of Debbie Jane Reed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Deri Reed to Martin Leroy Rose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rose of Erda, Utah, was solmenized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 26, 1982. A wedding dinner was held at the Chuck-a-Rama in Salt Lake City on March 25 following the endowment session at the Temple. An open house was held following the wedding on March 26 at the Erda Ward Cultural Hall in Erda, Utah. On March 27 the young couple were honored with a reception at the Manila Ward Cultural Hall. The bride wore a floor length dress of white chiffon with a form fitting bodice accented with white lace ruffles and seed pearls. The skirt was accented with puffs of chiffon looping around the skirt and train. Around the bottom of the skirt seed pearls were sewed in bell shapes. An appliqued seed pearl cap held a net veil which was trimmed with lace. She had chosen pearl earrings and gold trimmed white slippers for her accessories. Her bridal bouquet was of red and white silk roses set in satin and lace with a trail of red roses and satin ribbons. The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Derlene Reed. Her dress was of red print floor length chiffon. She carried a bouquet of red and white silk roses. The bridesmaid was the groom's sister, Pam Rose. She wore a floor length dress trimmed with white lace and carried red and white silk roses. The mothers of the bride and groom wore floor length dresses of red chiffon trimmed with white lace with red accessories ac-cessories and red and white silk rose corsages. The best man was Mike McCoy. All the men in the line wore tuxedos, the groom's white, the father's and best man, silver. Their boutonnieres were red silk roses. The reception hall was decorated with red and white. Tables were covered with red satin accented by a white doily and centered with white ceramic vases containing a red silk rose.- In charge of the guest book was Carolyn McCoy. Denise Rose, sister of the groom attended the "thank you note" table. Serving were Robyn Reed, Jackie Cooper, Shari Reed, Lisa Schofield and Wendy Christensen were in charge of the gift table. Helping with the refreshments in the kitchen were Genevieve Tinker, Juanita Ellsworth, Brenda Douglas and Cindy Larsen. The three tiered wedding cake was white decorated with roses and daffodils, daf-fodils, accenting the cake were red roses under white net lace. It was topped with a blown glass replica of the Salt Lake Temple. The young couple honeymooned in Jackson, Wyo. The bride graduated from the Hollywood Beauty College in Logan and is a licensed cosmetologist. She plans to relocate her beauty shop in Erda, Utah. The groom is a junior at Utah State University, majoring in agriculture and mechanics. The young couple will make their home in Erda where the groom is employed on the Taylorsville Welfare Farm. |
