Show Ballet West in Vernal April 13 A ballet treat is in store for Vernal audiences as Ballet West II will be performing on April 13 at 8 p.m. at the Uintah High School auditorium. The company consists of from 12 to 20 dancers from the University of Utah Ballet program. The program will include "Bravura" with choreography by William F. Christensen and music by Alexis E. Chabrier. The ballet was choreographed especially for Ballet 'West II. It was first premiered as a "work in progress," for the Salt Lake Rotary Club in January. The abstract valley "Mobile" will delight audiences with what is described as moving objects behaving in linear equipoise. The concluding number will feature divertissements from the full-length ballet, "Coppella," also choreographed by William F. Christensen, with music i by Leo Delibes. The evening performance of Ballet West II in Vernal is sponsored by the Uintah PTA Council with President Sharon Bills as chairman. Tickets are available for the performance per-formance at American Savings and Loan, First Interstate Bank, First Security Bank and Basin State Bank. If purchased prior to the performance, they w ill be $3 a seat. At the door tickets will be $5. The monies raised by the council on the performance of Ballet West II will be used for the PTA council to attend the PTA State convention in Provo May 7 and 8 and for local PTA leadership training. During the day of April 13, the ballet will be at the Uintah High School. A performance for students will be at 2:15 p.m. The two week Pioneer tour of Ballet West 'includes performances in Brigham City, Delta, Salina, Duchesne, Afton, Wyo., Star Valley, W'yo., Moab and Monticello. -7 V W ( v i k BALLET WEST II dancers KimBerlee Vowles and Gary Joyce in a Pas de Deux from Coppelia, choregraphed by Williams F.
