Marjean Qviatt 8 go to Girl's State Eight girls representing Uintah and Diiggett Counties will attend Girl's State from June 6 to 12. The event will be held at the College of Southern Utah at Cedar City and is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. Those attending from Uintah High School will be Lesa Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Roberts. LJ L Keri Bartlett knowledge of government, and their personal reasons for wanting to go to Girl's State. The purpose of Girl's State is to give promising young women information and instruction in the process of local, county and state government with the intention of increasing their usefulness as citizens and future leaders of our country. They are sponsored by the Daggett County Lion s Club. The girls are judged on leadership, speech or debate, poise and personality, per-sonality, response to interview. |
