Show Youth orchestra March awards The Uintah Youth Orchestra announces an-nounces its award winners for March. Practice award was presented to Marianna Smith for the fourth time for her 90 hours of practice during the month. mon-th. Students who achieved a score of 98-100 during the March playoffs were presented "Student of the Month" awards. These awards were won by Travis Hanberg, a Maeser third grader who says he has practiced more hours this past month and is happy with the results. Kristen Jensen, a third grader at Discovery, says she especially enjoys the orchestra's special events. Shane B. Cook, also Discovery third grade, was very excited to begin violin orchestra last fall. Marianna Smith, a third grader at Discovery, enjoys anything musical. She also enjoys dancing and gymnastics. Amy Hall, a third grade student at Maeser Elementary, achieved a perfect score after playing on a lovely old violin which has been in her family for years. Stewart Brewer, a fifth grade student at Central School, also achieved a perfect score. This is very commendable commen-dable since he started violin in January. He is also interested in playing play-ing the cello. Matthew Misquez, a Discovery fourth grader, enjoys practicing his violin and his mother says he never complains about orchestra. Kathleen Snow, from Naples fourth grade, practices without complaint according ac-cording to her mother.
