Show ! i t s '; I Mi, ' I X- J Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Bodily Sterling and Reva Bodily mark 50 wedded years The fiftieth wedding anniversary of Sterling and Reva Hall Bodily was celebrated on April 2. They were both born in Vernal and married in Duchesne, Utah on April 2, 1932. The marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Sept. 15, 19:52. The Bodilys are active members of the LDS Church. Reva has been a Primary teacher, counselor in the MIA and Relief Society, ward organist and Relief Society historian. Mrs. Roddy received a certificate for notable assistance in the Crusade to Conquer Cancer. Sterling worked at the Gilsonite Mines in Bonanza, I'tah and is a builder and carpenter in home construction. He continued in these trades after they moved to Salt Lake. When Sterling was near his retirement he worked at the LDS church office building in Salt Lake. Mr. Bodily has been a counselor in the elders quorum, adult Aaronic Prieshood, genealogical leader, counselor in the High Priest quorum and served a stake mission. Presently the two are enjoying working in the Jordan River LDS Temple. They are the parents of six children. They are Rene Ormsby, Odessa, Texas; Clela Nielsen, Napa, Calif.; Vance and Larry both of Kearns and Verdin of Vernal. A daughter, Velma Ley is deceased. They have 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. |
