Duchesne captured fourth place at 42.80. The Panthers captured three of the top five places in the balance beam. Dana Abplanalp of Vernal placed first at 7.4 and Roosevelt's Debra Brown captured second place at 7.35. Vernal's Rachel Nuttall collected third place at 7.3. The Panthers' Tina Skerl and West's Kaelynn Spencer pocketed fourth place at 7.25. Also competing in the balance beam were: Sally Ward, Duchesne, 5.6; Stormie Allee, West, 6.45; Maria Hunt, Roosevelt, 6.5; Michele McKee, West, 6.45 and Rebecca Williams, 7.2. Vernal's Nuttall recorded an excellent ex-cellent score of 9.0 in the uneven parallel bars, but it was only good enough for a second place tie with West's Spencer as Roosevelt's Karrie Wilcken netted first place at 9.1. Roosevelt's Hunt pocketed fourth place at 8 8 and Williams, Roosevelt, placed fifth at 8.6. Also competing in the bars were: Julie Larsen, Vernal, 7.7; Christine Rose, West, 7.3; Abplanalp, Vernal, 7.1; and Suzette McKee, West, 7.0. Roosevelt's Hunt picked up top honors in the floor exercise at 8.65 and Roosevelt's Lori Vemon placed second at 8 6. West's Spencer placed third at 8.50 and Debra Brown, Roosevelt, netted fourth at 8 45. West's Nesa Dushane garnered fifth place at 8.25. Also competing in the event were: Rose, West. 7.8; Lynette Martinsen, Vernal, 6.51; Sarah Allen, Duchesne, 6.15; Nuttall, 6.95; Tephra Moat, Duchesne, 7.35; Abplanalp, Vernal, 6.35 and Karrie Hebert, Duchesne, 6.70. West's Jesse Morrow acquired first place in the vault with a score of 8.90 and Spencer, West, placed second at 8 0. Roosevelt's Allison Bell netted third place at 7 95 and Joyce Burton, Roosevelt, placed fourth at 7.7. Tricia Ames, Roosevelt, pocketed fifth place at 7.45. Also competing in the vault were: Allee, West, 6.80; Martinsen, Vernal, 6.40; Ward, Duchesne, 6.90; Nuttall. Vernal, 7.25; McKinnon, High hnday. Vernal, Duchesne, West and Roosevelt competed in the junior high meet. Duchesne, 4.75; Abplanalp, 7.1 and Roxanna Ringle, Duchesne, 5.35. Kaelynn Spencer of West captured theall-around title with 32.75 points and Vernal's Rachel Nuttall placed second at 30.50. The Panthers' Dana Abplanalp nabbed third place at 27.96 Spencer netted the all-around title without a single first place title in the four events as she placed second, twice and nabbed a third and fourth. She placed third in the floor exercise at 8.50 and placed fourth in the balance beam at 7.25. The second place all-around winner, Nuttall, placed in two events. She nabbed second place in the uneven parallel bars at 9.0 and placed third in the beam at 7.3.
