Show $ltcnali Kolbs Honored At Birthday Party A group of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ty Kolb Saturday night in honor hon-or of their birthday anniversary. The evening was spent in playing play-ing canasta and refreshments were enjoyed by the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reese, Mr and Mrs. Pennie Ralphs, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump, Mr. and Mrs. Dju Allred, Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher, Jr., Mrs. Dora Berd, Mrs. Mary Carroll, Preston Allen, and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Smith, of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Baxter, of Altamont. Mr. and Mrs. Kieth Snyder had their baby blessed in Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting Sunday. He was given the name Kurt Snyder. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Smith and son. of Salt Lake City, spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ty Kolb. Mrs. Smith and M.rs. Kolb are sisters. sis-ters. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark went to Heber Friday night with their son-in-law, Delbert Thompson. Mr. Clark returned home Saturday, while Mrs. Clark stayed on to' help care for their small grandchild, who 'is ill. Floyd Case, of Mt. Emmons, county commissioner, was in town Monday on business. Mr. and -Mrs. Clayton Kone and family, of Gusher, spent the week end with Mrs. Kone's father, George Mecham. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allred and family visited in Vernal Sunday with Mr. Allred's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Edith Allred. Mr. and M.rs. Grant Smith and family, of Roosevelt, spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith. A large number of men attended at-tended the weed school held Monday, Feb. 11, in the ward hall. Richard Olsen. inspector for the Department of Agriculture, was in town Monday.- Harold Morris, who is employed em-ployed in Vernal, spent the week end with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen, of Mt. Emmons called at the Gilbert Beebe home Wednesday. Mrs. Wm. Ralphs returned home Monday after spending several weeks, in Salt Lake receiving re-ceiving medical care. She stayed at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Powell, in Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. Linford Max-field Max-field and Mr. and Mrs. W. A Maxfield transacted business in Whiterocks and Fort Duchesne Monday. . The officers and teachers of the Primary gave the children a Valentine party Tuesday of last week. Valentine cookies and dancing were enjoyed. Jim Lindsey, of Mt. Home, visited in Altonah Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Clark and Von Timothy, all of Bonanza, spent the week end with their parents par-ents and sister and brother-in-iaw, Mr, and Mrs. Jerry Clark, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Shine visited in California several days last week. |
