Show Mia-Maids Have Rose Evening Ceremony Monday The Mia-Maids of the M.I.A. of the Roosevelt L.D.S. Second Ward held their Rose Evening Monday night in the Relief Society So-ciety room at the L.D.S. chapei. To make the ceremony more impressive, the girls and their leaders wore formal dresses. Centering the lace-covered table ta-ble were red roses. The following program was presented in keeping with the rose theme: vocal solo, Janice Neilson; book-reading, "Heart of the Rose," Catherine Rowlej; piano solo, Naomi Timothy; and symbolism of the rose, Maura Hurley. The first year girls were presented pre-sented with Treasure of Truth books, and each girl took a rose from the centerpiece to present to her mother. Light refreshments were served at the conclusion of the Rose Evening. Mothers in attendance were: Mrs. Don Allred, Mrs. Earnon Smith, Mrs, Louie Galloway, Mrs. Ray Roberts and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence Rowley. Stake officers present included includ-ed Mrs. Floyd Peterson, M.I.A. president, and Mrs. Joseph Shanks, a counselor. Teachers for the Mia-Maid group are M s Carl Betts and Mrs. Eldon Wright.
