Show Birthdays Prompt Party For Two A neighborhood party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Anderson Thursday evening, Feb. 14, to celebrate the birthdays of Mrs. Anderson and Lester Kettle. Wendel Johnson made a trip to Salt Lake City over the week end to get his two children, who had been with their grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Charles Pearce for two days. baby, viisted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Stewart at Jensen on Feb. 10. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins has been staying at the home of her son. Jay Jenkins in Myton, helping' to care for Mrs. Jenkins and their new daughter. Mrs. Charles Bingham and son, Frank motored to Vernal on Friday, where Frank registered regis-tered with the draft board. The 4th, 5th and 6th grades at Alterra School went to Vernal Ver-nal on Friday, Feb. 15. and presented pre-sented a program over KJAM. Mr. Hicks and Mr. Smith accompanied ac-companied the students. Word has been received by Mrs. Raymond Eldredge that her brother-in-law, Albin An derson, fjf Vernal, was rushed to Salt Lake City last Thursday for msdical care. Mr. Anderson is a ionner member of the Ballard Bal-lard Ward. Mr- and Mrs. Farrell Mohl-man Mohl-man and two children, of Al-tamont, Al-tamont, were visitors Friday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Johnson. They also visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Todd. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Bastian, of Neola, visited Mr. and Mrs. S B. Kettle one day last week. A genealogical meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts Monday, evening, eve-ning, Feb. 11, for their neighbors neigh-bors in that area. ! It is reported that L. E. Clark, of Salt Lake City, is confined to his bed. The "darks moved from Ballard to Salt Lake City last year. A number of ladies met at Relief Society on Tuesday and quilted a quilt for Mrs. Pearl Jenkins. Mrs. Maude Anderson, work director, was in charge. The night the Sunday School officers and the square danc-i group sponsored a party to raise money for a loud speaker for the chapel, they raised $70.50. Thanks to all who assisted as-sisted in this worthy cause. |
