Show Miolet Mountain, Robert Qmh Married Feb. 7tli Violet Mountain and Robert Lee Cuch were united in marriage mar-riage at a civil ceremony performed per-formed in the Relief Society room of the Duchesne Ward and Stake Chapel. They spoke their vows standing before an improvised impro-vised altar decorated in red and white and depicting the "Sweetheart" "Sweet-heart" theme. A huge potted fuschia, resplendent with a my-rial my-rial of red blossoms flanked the altar. President A. Hale Holgate 0 the Duchesne Stake, Church 01 Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints officiated at the ceremony. Mis LaVar Sprouse attended tne bride as maid of honor. Arzy H. Mitchell was best man. The bride spoke her vow.-and vow.-and greeted guests in a floor-length floor-length gown of sky blue satm It was styled with a stole of like material draped at both shoul ders, and emphasized by a cor sage of stephanotis. Her fingertip finger-tip veil of white nylon tulle was bordered with a double tier of lyion lace and caught to a tiara of pearled orange blossoms. blos-soms. Extended sleeves of sKy-blue sKy-blue satin came to a point ovei the wrists. A .three-strand pearl necklace complemented the bridal bri-dal dress. She carried a whitu evening bag decorated with beads. Mrs. Fern Mitchell was. the young couples wardrobe advisor. ad-visor. The bride is a- daughter , of James and Sarah Colorow Mountain, Moun-tain, of Utahn. She is a graduate gradu-ate of the Duchesne High School and Duchesne L.D.S. Seminary. Mr. Cuch , is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Cuch, of Whiterocks. He attended ,he Whiterocks Training School and the Ft. Duchesne School. Following the ceremony, the bridal couple was honored at a wedding dinner set for 80 guests. The bride's table was centered with a four-tier wedding wed-ding cake, .decorated with red and white "icing. The "Sweetheart" "Sweet-heart" decorations were mirrored mir-rored by the plate glass on which the wedding cake was placed. James E. Bacon, president of the Uintah Basin Indian Mission, acted as master of ceremonies during the wedding dinner. Special invited guests of the bridal couple and the family attended the dinner. Albert Harris Har-ris delivered the prayer and blessing, and Supt. Forrest A. Stone praised the young couple for their courage and fine example; ex-ample; Reservation Principal Roy Adams expressed gratification gratifica-tion in' seeing, two of his students stu-dents leading out in civilian life. . . , An estimated 500 people from throughout the Uintah Basin honored the young couple during dur-ing the public reception which began at 8 p. m. Among the many Indian relatives rel-atives and friends attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Cuch, the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Appah, Mrs. Francis Colorow, Mr. and Mrs. John Harper and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Murray. Bishop Porter L. Merrell, county clerk, presented the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Mountain, with a certified certi-fied copy of the marriage license li-cense filed in the county clerk's office in September 1928. FIRESIDE CHAT HELD SUNDAY NIGHT A. fireside chat for the M-Men, Gleaners, Junior M-Men and Junior Gleaners of the Roosevelt Roose-velt L.D S. Ward was held Sunday Sun-day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Sullivan, with their daughter, Rhea, and Mary Kelsey acting as co-hostesses. Guest speaker for the meeting meet-ing was Hollis Hullinger, L.D.S. stake president. Refreshments were served at the conclusion of the evening by the two hostesses. |
