Show SOCIAL SECURITY PLAN FOR FARMERS WILL BE EXPLAINED Although self-employed farmers have been able to get Social Security Se-curity credits from income derived from the operation of their farm beginning in 1955, it is still not possible for farm owners to rent or lease their farm to someone else and get Social Security credits on the income they receive re-ceive from renting or leasing their farm. This is unless the farm owner own-er "materially participates" in the operation of the farm he is renting rent-ing or leasing to someone else. This means that the farmer leasing leas-ing his farm must actually participate, partici-pate, or considerably help, in the operation of the farm he is renting or leasing. If you have any questions regarding re-garding this situation, a representative repre-sentative of -the Salt Lake City Social Security Office will be in Room 3, New County Courthouse, Duchesne, at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 19 to answer them, and at the City Hall in Roosevelt at 9:00 a.m. Nov. 14. |
