Show HELD WORK DAY; PLAN DEMONSTRATION Tuesday, Oct. 30, a special work day was held at Relief Society. So-ciety. The time was spent in quilting finishing a quilt started before. Lunch was served at noon by Mrs. Inez Squire and Mrs. Cleo Womack. On Tuesday, Nov. 13, a demonstration will be held in the making of candy, cookies and some handiwork, which will be given by Oso Hullinger, Eva Bel-Ion, Bel-Ion, Florell Collins, Inez Squire and Beatrice Lundberg. Lunch will be served at noon by Wilma Haslem and Erna Stolla. All the ladies are urged to be in attendance. attend-ance. Arnold Moore, who has been in Japan and other places in the armed forces, arrived Sunday to spend a 30-day furlough with his wife, the former Shanna Bellon. She has been living with her mother, Mrs. Eva Bellon, for some time. - Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mann of Los Angeles have been recent visitors visi-tors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ercil Johnson. Mrs. Mann is a sister of Mr. Johnson. The following Sunday School workers attended the Stake Sunday Sun-day School preparation meeting at" Roosevelt last Sunday afternoon: after-noon: Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines, Marvin Kettle, Vida Betts, Erna StoILa, Ellen Bracken, Elaine Shis-ler, Shis-ler, Lonnie Kay Winn, Clara Stolla, Stol-la, Mary Collins, Minnie Angus and Mary Hullinger. Rose Mary' Arnold and Shirley Allred gave talks in Sacrament meeting last Sunday evening. Judy Arnold played a piano solo, and Bonnie Daniels a saxophone solo, accompanied on the piano by Elaine Angus. These girls received re-ceived their awards. Lyle Squire and Arden White also gave talks. Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Butcher and small daughters, also Mrs. Butcher's brother, all of Sydney, Nebraska, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Her-man Baumgartel and family of Kearns were recent visitors at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Butcher. Mr. and Mrs. "Tex" Ross of Salt Lake City, formerly of Ballard, Bal-lard, announce the arrival of a baby boy, born to them Oct. 2. Nancy and Jo Ann EJdredge spent last weekend with their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bartlett at Tridell. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Eldredge and son, Clark, were dinner guests at the Bartlett home Sunday. Gary Gardner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gardner, who is on an LDS mission, has been transferred from Ft. Apache to Sells, Arizona, where he expects to be until he is released in the spring. Mr. arid Mrs. Karl Bracken of Salt Lake City are very proud parents of a baby girl born at" the LDS Hospital Friday, Nov. 2. the elated grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Leishman of Nampa, Idaho and Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken. Halloween parties were held in each room at Alterra school on Wednesday, and turkey dinner was served in the lunch room. |
