Show Hospital Staff and Partners Stage Gala HoIIoween Party Probably the most gala of Halloween Hal-loween festivities was the hilarious party held at the Ray Summers residence for members of the hospi- tal staff, local doctors . and their partners. The masquerade affair was staged stag-ed the Monday preceding Halloween, Hal-loween, with approximately fifty-four fifty-four costumed figures taking the limelight. Thrills, chills and blood curdling screams emerged from the long spook alley, where each guest entered with fear. Attired in a nurse's scrub-woman garb, Ray Summers escorted the wierd and facetious looking guests to the gruesome spook alley, made even more bewitching by the hair-raising musical recording. ' Lacy Fitzgerald, fortune teller, predicted each guest's future, and even told a little of the past. Games were played and a delicious buffet dinner was served to make the evening complete. Judged the outstanding costumes for the evening were Mrs. John Fruge, portraying Marilyn Monroe, and Mr. Summers, the scrub-woman. Gifts were presented to past hospital employes Lula Mullins, Grace Morrill and Ruth Borup. Eleanor Hemmingway was unable to be present, but also received a gift. Local merchants donated the prizes for the party. |
