Show D.U.P. HAS MEETING The Daughters of Utah Pioneers held their regular meeting last verfc at the home of Mrs. Austin Brokaw, with Mrs. S. F. Morten-sen, Morten-sen, Captain, in charge. Opening prayer was given by Mrs. Brokaw. The lesson, "Colonel Thomas L. Kane and his Influence In Establishing Utah's Territorial Government," was presented by Mrs. W. H. Linck. Mrs. Wilmer Murray read the history of some of her ancestors, John and Louisa Hasler. The item was written by their daughter, Mina Sorenson, of jMt. Pleasant. Mrs. P. E. Church gave the closing prayer. The hostess served refreshments to the members present, Mrs. Mortensen, Mrs. Linck, Mrs. Murray, Mur-ray, Mrs. Otto Nielson, Mrs. La Vor Dennis, Mrs. Church and Mrs. I Nels Johnson. Mrs. H. K. Palmer, who has been visiting friends in Myton and attending to her property in this area, left Tuesday for her home in Santa Monica, Calif. She accompanied Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Dart of Price as far as Salt Lake-City. Lake-City. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jenkins of Limon, Colo, were visitors from Thursday till Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Edwards, Mr. Jenkins' parents. They left Sunday for Salt Lake City to visit Mr. and Mrs. Golden Butter- field, Mr. Jenkins' sister and brother-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Tolboe enjoyed en-joyed a week's visit from Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy' Miller and baby who came from Long Beach, Calif, to participate in the deer hunt. Wayne Jenkins.BMl, who has been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Edwards, will leave Tuesday for Seattle, Wash., headquarters head-quarters of the 13th Naval station, sta-tion, to return to his service in the Navy. He will then be reassigned re-assigned to duty. Mrs. Homer Robison and Mrs. W. E. Burton went to Salt Lake City Thursday, returning Sunday. Mrs. Burton visited her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Biltz and family in Mid-vale, Mid-vale, while 'Mrs. Robinson visited her daughters and son and families fami-lies in Salt Lake City. |
