Show . T..t ornnn. Don the rodeo and the a.:. - . I By SHIRLEY WRIGHT 29S-74S7 Floyd and ReNae Franson became grandparents again when their daughter gave birth to a baby girl. The parents are Bradley and Lois Fisher. ReNae and Floyd Franson and family went to Albuquerque, Albuquer-que, New Mexico in April to attend the wedding of their son Brent to Monica Borrego. Brent is stationed there with the Air Force. Belated condolences to Bea Rufflin on the death of her sister. Joyce Shinner had a fire in her home last weeke when company she had were playing with candles in her bathroom. The fire was contained in the bathroom so not much damage was done to the rest of the home. Get well wishes to Don Lar-rabee. Lar-rabee. He got his fingers caught in the pie cutter at work. The stitches are out but the healing is slow and it will be a day or two before he will be using his hand. Mike and Joie Anderton are back from a business and pleasure plea-sure trip to Las Vegas followed by a trip to Heber City with their '56 Nomad. They took three trophies there. But following the trip, Joie was helping Mike when she tried to catch a falling part and broke two of her fingers. She is also learning how to work around a bandaged hand. Condolences to Joan Beers Wall on the loss of her baby. I have been asked to thank all those who have helped those who were hit by the flooding. Much thanks are sent with deep affection for all those especially those who put in time and those who brought food shortly after. Their help will long be remembered. The Dale Rigby family is home from a vacation that took them to California and the high Uintas. Also returning from a vacation vaca-tion is the Ray Van Uitert family. fami-ly. They traveled to Oregon and to Snowbird. This past week has been a busy one for a lot of people in the 2nd and 9th Ward. They held their annual rodeo and square dance . Those that parti-cipated parti-cipated in the rodeo were: Elma Eackle, Jr. announcer and judges were Ted Cahoon and DeVon Moses. The secretaries were Cleo Anderson and Janet Anderson. Ander-son. The pick-up men were Steve Howard, Frank Tingey and LaMoyne Anderson. The Head Shootmen were Niel Hewlett and Jeff Gale. The best clowns that could be found anywhere were talked into doing a special show and they were Scott Anderson and Jerrold Webb. The grand marshals for the evening were the Mr. and Mrs. Alma Eakle, Sr. They have just celebrated their 50th wedding wed-ding anniversary. He is 77 and she is 69. Congratulations. Those riding were Greg Thomas, Darin Hicks, Don Evans, Ty Barlow, Gary Francis, Fran-cis, Alan Echols, Brian Water-field, Water-field, Wendy Boulton, Nelanie Rowthey, De Ann Pack, Scott Noble, Joe Cahoon, David Oviatt, Julie Clegg, Tonya Howard, Ho-ward, Amy Knighton. Some of the awards are as follows: Weston Cahoon, all around cowboy and Wendy Boulton, all-around cowgirl. Karin Westergard took hard-luck hard-luck cow girl and Greg Thomas took hardluck cowboy. Brad Jenson and Gary Hatch took the honors in the goat dressing for the boys and Tonya Howard took first place for her age in the barrel racing and pool bending race for Beehives. Bee-hives. For Mia Maids Julia Clegg received the award. Ann Howard, took the same event for the Laurel age group. Jim Gordon took top bronc rider for the Teachers group. Don Evans was awarded top steer riding for his age group-Tracy Nielsen was noted as top steer rider for the girls her age.
