Show TVTATTlg) J Steve and Eydie spend an 'Evening at Pops' When John Williams and the Boston Pops Orchestra start up for the second week of PBS' "Evening at Pops" series on Sunday, July 24, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme will be the special guests. During the hour Mr. and Mrs Lawrence will perform a special tribute to 95-year-old Irving Berlin, including a medley of his hits. 'Loving' loves N.Y.C. His honor, known for constantly con-stantly asking, "How am I doing?," was told by Jacqueline Jacque-line Smith, ABC's vice president presi-dent of daytime programs, that he did a "wonderful job" leading the chorus of "Give My Regards to Broadway" Broad-way" during last year's "Night of 100 Stars." Now Koch is thinking about making his acting debut on ABC's newest daytime day-time offering "Loving." Miss Smith extended the invitation during the reception recep-tion for "Loving," which was held at Gracie Mansion, the mayor's official residence. resi-dence. "Write in the part and I'll come," says Koch, of the invitation. " 'Loving' is the first daytime day-time drama to debut on ABC in 8 years." says Koch, "We are delighted to see 'Loving' join the community of tele-' vision productions that enhance and reaffirm New York's position as the entertainment enter-tainment capital of the world " It sounds like the mayor would be a quick study if he's ever given a roie on the scries |
