Show WI Residents Tmted To Good ? OPFahioned Ro(kf By ROGER TUTTLE With that memorable smell of horses, cattle, goats and hot dogs, the annual Woods Cross Rodeo was underway. NEARLY 600 people attended the rodeo that was sponsored by the Woods Cross 2nd and 9th Wards. Events included; bronco and steer riding, pole and barrel bar-rel racing and goat dressing and tying. The participants ranged in age from 12-18, all of them seemed to enjoy the rodeo alot. WES CAHOON, who was voted all around cowboy, felt the most exciting thing about the rodeo was to see how long he could stay on the animals Wendy Boulton was voted the all around cowgirl for en-ering en-ering the most events and showing the best performance. When asked if he was scared, Don Evans said, "it's scary when you're in the chute but when it opens it all starts to happen and you're not scared anymore." THE INTERESTING thing about a rodeo is that it's not just for the boys. There were several girls who also participated partici-pated in each of the events. Julie Clegg, who entered the goat dressing, barrel and pole racing and steer riding events gave an interesting reason for participating again this year.
