Show Hospital Will Open j Computer X-ray Unit On Nov. I, Lakeview Hospital, Hos-pital, at 630 Medical Drive, Uoiinliful, will open its expanded ex-panded Radiology (X-ray) department de-partment which houses the first computerized axial tomography scanner unit (C.T. Scanner) in Davis County. THE NEW project includes some 4,9X) square-feet of new patient treatment area. The radiology services have been consolidated to also include Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Ultra-sound, Film File Room, Patient Pa-tient Dressing Rooms and waiting area and computerized axial tomography. Adding the newest and most exciting service to radiology, the Computerized Axial Tomography unit or (C.T. Scanner) has been purchased at the cost of some $990,(XX). The Philips 310 Tomoscan is one of the most sophisticated "state of the art" C.T. Scanners Scan-ners in use today. C.T. SCANNING is recognized recog-nized as a leading tool towards diagnostic evaluation of the human body. With its capability, capabil-ity, the attending physician can, in many instances, more quickly evaluate the nature of a patient's illness or injury and avoid long term cost and discomfort dis-comfort to the patient. Its need as a medical tool has been established as a necessity, not a luxury, for patient care. In addition to the C.T. Slsi liner li-ner unit, the outpatient services ser-vices have been expanded" in radiology so that patients can be assessed quickly and privately pri-vately throughout their radiology radiol-ogy examination.
