Show Steven Davis Seeks WX Council Spot STEVEN DAVIS Steven J. Davis, 823 W. his candidacy for election elec-tion to the Woods Cross City Council. KXCKPT FOR a four year absence, Sieve, has lived all of his adult life and most of his childhood in Woods Cross. He feels that he is well acquainted with the citizens of the city and their problems. Steve has been employed in local and state law enforcement enforce-ment and law enforcement administration for nine years. He is currently a lead investigator investi-gator in the State Department of Business Regulation. In connection with his employ ment, Steve has supervised the administration of government grants and programs and has served on several task forces to address law enforcement and community concerns. Most notable, a State Wide Education Committee on Child Abuse and Neglect and the State Wide Child Protection Protec-tion Team. VOLINTEERISM is an area in which Steve takes great pride. He has served as a volunteer ambulance technician, techni-cian, baseball and soccer coach, and has worked extensively exten-sively in scouting. He feels that the citizens of Woods Cross are eager to share their talents, and with official direction direc-tion and imagination could provide a great resource for providing needed city services. ser-vices. The primary challenge facing fac-ing the city, according to Steve, is to provide for planned, plan-ned, orderly growth. While recognizing the need for and benefit of clean industry and low cost housing, Steve believes be-lieves that the city council should be responsive to the public's desires in maintaining the quality and style of life cur-rently cur-rently enjoyed in Woods Cross. STEVE IS a graduate of Viewmont High School and holds a degree in police science scien-ce and sociology from Weber State College. He is married to the former Joan Park and has three children. |
