Show W. Pack Retires From Hill Field Bountifulite Warren S. Pack, deputy director of Contracting Con-tracting and Manufacturing at Ogden Air Logistics Center, retired in recent Hill AFB ceremonies following 24 years of federal service. HE BEGAN his career in 1959 as a contract negotiator at Hill AFB and by 1963 was promoted to a surpervisory position. He continued to progress to the top civilian job in the directorate in 1980. Pack managed the procurement procure-ment program for the F-4 for many years and set up the ini- tial F-16 program. Under his leadership, many' innovative contracting methods were developed de-veloped and the directorate received re-ceived the Outstanding Central Cen-tral Contracting Unit Award and the Organizational Excellence Excell-ence Award. PACE RECEIVED numerous numer-ous performance awards throughout his career and recently re-cently accepted the Exceptional Excep-tional Civilian Service Award, the highest Air Force recognition recogni-tion given to a civilian. He and his wife, Cora, reside re-side in Bountiful. |
