Kirk - -: helped make things ready for use by laminating each one, a time consuming process which helps the books to last much longer. He also placed a label in each volume, denoting the donor of the book. Kirk expressed ex-pressed appreciation for the many people who donated money for the project and to the center staff for their help in coordinating the work. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven E. Barlow and resides in Bountiful. Boun-tiful. ; THE PARENT Education Resource Center also known as PERC is a valuable resource to persons living in Davis KIRK BARLOW County. It is located in the Monte Vista Center, 77 S. 300 E., Farmington and acts much like a lending library. The center contains information infor-mation concerning child development, de-velopment, discipline, communication com-munication and other subjects pertinent to parenting. In addi tion to books, the center also has filmstrips and educational toys for loan. ANOTHER dimension of the program are various parent education activities which are carried out through the school year. The center is open Mon day through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended hours to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Wednes-days. The center follows the school calendar. Kirk's work in behalf of the center is a reflection of his interest in-terest and dedication to his community. |
