Show Navy Seeking for Officer-Lawyers Lt. Commander B. Irby, USN, officer in charge of the U.S. Navy Recruiting Station, Fort Douglas, announced today that applications are now being accepted for assignment assign-ment and commissions in the legal field. The Navy now allows young lawyers to enter the Naval Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island as legal specialists. Upon completion of the 4 months OCS program, the lawyer is commissioned commis-sioned with the rank of Lt. Jr. Grade and has the prospect of being be-ing assigned a Navy billet in the legal field. The graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association may now apply for the Legal OCS program. Information regarding the legal program can be obtained by visiting visit-ing the local Navy Recruiting office, of-fice, in the Post Office Building, Provo. |
