Show ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS Polic-i Chief Glen Newman was the guesL of the Second grade at Central School last Monday. He spoke to the children on the fundamental fun-damental rules of personal safety. ESN On the last Friday of the Utah State Fair, 91 members of the Central School Fourth grades visited vis-ited the fair as a part of their social studies program. They were accompanied by several parents and teachers Don Hansen, Han-sen, Gale Famsworth and Marilyn Mar-ilyn Albiston. ESN On Wednesday, members of the Central School Fourth grade visited vis-ited the DUP Relic Hall as a part of their study of Utah history. ESN Miss Lorraine Sonzini, second grade teacher at Central School was married to E. Patrick Mc-Guire Mc-Guire last Friday. ESN Several Sixth grade students from Central School will demonstrate demon-strate how a foreign language is learned in Alpine District Schools Conducting the method will be their instructor, Williard Gerber. ESN "Back to School Nite" was a satisfying success at Grovecrest School last Wednesday, according to Principal Donna O. Ash. At least 75 per cent of the parents participated in the general gener-al assembly and the visits with individual teachers. Before leaving leav-ing each parent was presented with a booklet in which the year's work was outlined. ESN For the third consecutive year, students a.t Grovecrest will participate par-ticipate in the U.S. Saving Stamp Program. Mrs. Sadie Beck, of the American Legion Auxiliary, will continue to sponsor the program. pro-gram. ESN Vei'a Wagstaff of Grovecrest School faculty will work with Harold Walker this year in the Civil Defense program. |
