Show Timpanogos Cave Sets New Record For Visitors in '53 Utahns and visitors are urged to visit Timpanogos Cave during the next few weeks when vivid fall colors make it most inviting', according ac-cording to Thomas A. Walker, superintendent of Timpanogos Cave National Monument in American Am-erican Fork Canyon. The cave will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. until winter storms come. An all-time record of visitors to the cave has already been set this summer, even though the season is not yet over, Mr. Walker reported. report-ed. 3-1,391 people have seen the cave between May 31 and August 31, which is more than 1,000 over any previous full season. Visitors to the cave in August alone a-mounted a-mounted to 11,097. Those who would like to visit the Timpanogos Cave should plan also to enjoy the resplendent fall colors in American Fork and Provo Canyons, Can-yons, Mr. Walker advised. He added that visitors should allow at least three hours for their cave excursions: 2 hours going and coming com-ing on the well-defined 1H mile trail and 1 hour in the cave itself. Trained guides conduct all tours through the cave. |
