Show Street Paving District in P.G. Is Approved The Pleasant Grove' City Council Coun-cil has approved a plan to improve im-prove and pave several blocks of streets in various parts of the city. The proposal, according to the Notice of Intention published in the Review, is to "grade and pave with oil, seal coat and rock chips,. 20 feet wide, certain streets in the city." The streets, designated as "Street Paving District No. 9," are as follows: Fifth East from Third North to Fifth North; Seventh East from Second South to Fifth North; First West from Second South to Third South; Third South from First West to Main; Loader Lane from Locust Avenue to Loader Drive; Third East from First South to Second South- Loader Drive from Second South to 650 South; Seventh North from Third East to Seventh East and Third North from Fourth East to Seventh Sev-enth East Engineer estimates place the total cost of the improvement at $5,600.00, with the city's share as $1200.00. The remaining $4,400 according to the proposal, will be raised by a special tax levied against the property facing the streets to be improved. This tax will amount to 20 cents per lineal foot, city officials say. A public hearing on the proposal pro-posal will be held October 20, 1958, at 8 p.m. in the city hall. All protests against the improvement improve-ment must be presented in writing writ-ing to the City Recor ler on or before October 19, 1958. |
